Iran film 'Kupal' to attend filmfest in Zurich

Kazem Mollaei's 'Kupal' is set to screen at the competition section of 4th Iranian Film Festival of Zurich, Switzerland.

The flick narrates the story of a hunter and taxidermist Dr. Ahmad Kupal. The man faces a challenge just during the days leading to the Persian New Year.

The cast list includes late Levon Haftvan, Nazanian Farahani, Pouria Rahimi-Sam and Hossein Shamsabadi.

'Kupal' has so far claimed several wards at film events such as the 3rd Bogota Int'l Filmfest, Colombia and Canada Independent Filmfest in Montreal.

The Iranian Film Festival Zurich is organized to fill the cultural gap between Iranians and the Swiss as well as the many foreigners living in Switzerland.

Each year the festival presents the Swiss audience with a selection of the best contemporary feature films, documentaries and shorts from all generations of Iranian filmmakers in Zurich.

This year of the festival will screen 12 Iranian feature films, including Ida Panahande's 'Israfil' and 'Asphyxia' directed by Fereydoun Jeyrani.

The 2018 Iranian Film Festival Zurich is slated for May 24-30 in Switzerland.
